IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE A BLESSING

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

Genesis 12:3

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

Honoring God's Principles Through Giving

At JDTM, we are committed to honoring God's principles by being a blessing to Israel. Our mission is reflected in our practice: every week, we contribute with purpose, and together, our blessings culminate into a monthly gift to Israel. This commitment is our way of demonstrating that obedience is better than sacrifice.

 FAQs

  • Answer:
Yes, as a registered giver to our church, you will receive an annual Giver's Statement, also known as a tax letter. This statement will include a summary of your total donations made throughout the year and can be used for tax purposes. The statements are typically sent out in January for the previous calendar year. If you have any questions or need a copy of your statement, please contact our church office at [jdtministries.org].

  • Luke 6:38:
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

    • This verse speaks to the principle of abundance in giving, showing that generosity often results in blessings.

    Malachi 3:10:
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."

    • This verse emphasizes the concept of tithing (giving 10% of one's income) and God’s promise of blessings in return.

  • Answer:
There are several ways you can give assets to the church:

    1. Cash or Check:
You can make a donation using cash or check by placing it in the offering during services or by mailing it directly to the church office.

    2. Online Giving:
We offer an easy online giving platform where you can donate using a credit card, debit card, or through bank transfers. Simply visit our website’s giving page to make a donation.

    3. Stocks and Securities:
Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds is a great way to support the church. This type of gift may provide tax benefits, so we recommend consulting with a financial advisor. Please contact our office for instructions on how to make a securities donation.

    4. Real Estate:
If you wish to donate property or land, we would be honored to accept it. Real estate donations may also have tax advantages. Please contact our church office to discuss the details and process.

    5. Personal Property:
You can donate items such as vehicles, jewelry, or other valuable personal property. The church may need to assess the value of the donated items. Please reach out to our office for more information.

    6. Planned Giving:
Planned giving allows you to leave a gift to the church through your will, trust, or by naming the church as a beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement accounts. If you are interested in this option, please contact us to learn more.

For all asset donations, we encourage you to consult with your financial or tax advisor to ensure you receive the maximum benefit. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to our church office at [jdtministries.org].

    1. Question: What's the difference between tithe and offering?

      Answer:
The terms "tithe" and "offering" both refer to giving to the church, but they have different meanings:

      1. Tithe:
The tithe is a biblical principle that involves giving 10% of your income to the church. It is considered a commandment in Scripture and is often viewed as a way to honor God with your firstfruits. Tithing supports the ministry and the work of the church.

      2. Offering:
An offering is any donation given beyond the tithe. It is a voluntary contribution made to support specific needs or causes, such as missions, special events, or church projects. Offerings can vary in amount and frequency, depending on your personal choice.

While the tithe is a set percentage, offerings are given freely and reflect your personal generosity. Both are acts of worship and expressions of faith, and both play a vital role in supporting the ministry of the church.

  • Answer:
In a biblical context, "sowing" refers to the act of planting seeds, which is often used metaphorically to describe the act of giving or investing in God’s work. The term is commonly associated with generosity and faith, as sowing seeds represents planting something that will grow and bear fruit in the future.

For example, in 2 Corinthians 9:6 (KJV), it says, "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."

This verse teaches that the way we give—whether generously or sparingly—determines the return or blessings we receive. "Sowing" can refer to not only financial gifts but also acts of kindness, time, and effort invested in others or in the church.

In essence, sowing is about planting good things in faith, trusting that God will bring forth a fruitful harvest in due time.
